I thought I've read somewhere that MMS Diary source had a within it a script that would convert AMR files into WAV. I gave the MMS Diary homepage url to a friend of mine who's working on a script in php to convert from AMR to MIDI, but he told me he couldn't find anything there. I keep thinking I read it somewhere, anybody knows of this? If not anybody hava any clue where my friend could find references to AMR format and how to go about converting this files into something else?

Well, it has a hook for converting between AMR to WAV but it only uses an external program for it. This decoder can be downloaded from the 3GPP site. Check out the thread here on where to find it:

But keep in mind though that converting to MIDI is a totally different thing. I'm sure you realize that that is much more difficult and will most likely end up with a bad result. |
