Rebound
Like a big forest machine
I fight my way through the vegetation,
breaking everything that comes in my way.
Sticks and roots crack underneath me,
I tear down hanging branches
and cut through bushes.
And I don't feel anything. Just emptiness.
Ever since they helped each other put on
this metal shield around me I cannot seem to
feel anything anymore.
I used to love walking the pathways slowly
looking at the universe around me,
stopping to admire every piece of miracle
I found but now I don't see it anymore.
I just push on,
not looking,
not caring.
So little flower.
Little beautiful, beautiful, delicate flower
as you stand there waiting for me to discover you.
This is not the time for our paths to cross.
You must avoid coming in my way right now.
