|
|
I have a problem sending pictures with my Nokia 7650 using the Orange Network in the Netherlands. Although the picture is displayed on Peffisaur, there is a message in my outbox that the message will be resend. The same happens when sending a picture to my own MMS Diary webserver (http://www.tesselschade.org/send.php). The phone keeps sending the message every 10 minutes. On a hacked (pivot) version of MMS Diary (http://www.arnix.com/moblog/) I get the warning that sending failed after the first transfer (and the phone stops trying to resend it) although the picture is displayed on the moblog.....
Any help is apreciated. |

Hmm...for some reason it seems the phone does not get the response back from the server or somehow does not like the response. The server should return a short message called m-send.conf indicating success of sending. MMS Diary and also Peffisaur always claim "everything is fine" so if the message back goes through the phone should be happy. Could be a problem at your operator.
There could also be the case that the phone expects more in the message returned. Some Siemens will fail with MMS Diary because they expect the Message ID to be returned in the message as well and I do not send that because it is set as "Optional" in the docs. However, I realize that the text around it in the docs sort of explains that it is not really optional in case of seccessful transmission of a message so perhaps that could be it.
But then again, many people have used the 7650 with success so my guess is that the communication is corrupt somehow in the Orange network. They are not really required to help people use other MMSC:s you know
I might make a fix for you to try with the Message ID included but I cannot do it right now as I'm not at home (will be back the 26th).
For Peffisaur there is always the email option if you cannot make direct posting work with your operator.

I just installed peffisaur 0.9 (once again). Paying close attention to the INSTALL file, especially taking care of editting the .htaccess file (and changing AllowOverride from None to All in my httpd.conf!). And everything works great!

Sending to MMSDiary on my other install still gives problems but who cares now I can use peffisaur
Stefan, thanks for this great piece of software! |

That's good news! Could you perhaps do me a favour and update your faq.php on your installation. Now it says that "I, Stefan Hellkvist, run this site" etc etc I suppose I did a bad packaging job without removing many hard coded things but I was in a hurry since I was leaving for a trip. Will make it more general in a future release.
Anyway...good to know it's working for you now.
Cheers,
Stefan |

Changed it. (In forgot.php peffis.com was also hardcoded)
