I was testing off peffis.com how the forwarding works. Actually I was a bit curious, so I set the forwarder anything with my 0122243465 number would get forwarded to my webserver.

Before I forwarded to my peffis I wanted to see how the post looked, and if I could play with that. Anyway, point is, the forward did not show up in my webserver logs, so I was curious how it works, did I configure wrong? Must the "forwarder" be full path to send.php or something like that.

If you have a Nokia (like me) I did this: In contacts, I added an e-mail address to a contact. E.G. Contact: Arnix, e-mail: something@arnix.com. In my Peffisaur Preferences I added a forwarder with To: something@arnix.com and Url in the form of http://my.site/peffisaur/s/1/458351a7 (the full url). Now when I mms a photo to Peffisaur, I choose as recipient something@arnix.com and the mms is forwarded to my own site.

Yeah, I have it the same way (with P800) but I was trying to watch server logs to see how it posts, to see if I can put the data somewhere else.

So the URL is just the root of my apache. But I still did not see forwarding in my logs.

I'm not sure what happened. Perhaps your server was not reachable through peffis.com at that time. But perhaps there is a bug in peffisaur code as well. So far I think it has only been tested with default port and I think you used some 1245 port or something didn't you? Perhaps I have goofed. It works for port 80 at least assuming your server can be reached.

And if you don't have anything accepting posts on your server root I think it will end up in the error logs so I assume that is where you looked right?

And perhaps there is a bug in how it handles empty paths (like the index page on your site). Perhaps you could try to post against http://<yoursite>:1245/peffisisthecoolest instead. Perhaps that will make it hit your error logs at least. Not that saying "peffisisthecoolest" can ever be an error - but still Smile

I tried:

http://tdawg.sytes.net:1245
http://tdawg.sytes.net
http://tdawg.sytes.net:1245/peffinator
http://tdawg.sytes.net/peffinator

each associated with a different number, 010, 020, 030 and so on.

Nothing showed up in apache error logs, or access logs.

That's very strange. For me it has always worked and for others as well (like Arnix who originally requested the feature). I tried accessing those sites you listed and what was common to them all was that they were very slow to access. I have a timeout set to 30 seconds but it was not really THAT slow but still. Perhaps it times out before sending it.

I might one day add some more logging to Peffisaur. Then it might tell what is causing it. I can see nothing about any errors right now unfortunately.
